SUMC Church Conference July 1

There will be a SUMC Church Conference on July 1 at 3 p.m. during which the salary support for the church's new pastor, Kathy Kursch, will be set.

Altar Flowers

The flowers on the altar during the June 24 services were presented in honor of Randall & LaVonna Roose's 55th wedding anniversary. Also, happy birthday to Zach Frederick.

Church Picnic is July 22

The Shepherd United Methodist Church picnic will be held on Sunday, July 22 at the downtown park (next to the BP gas station). Hot dogs will be furnished but everyone is invted to bring a dish to pass and their own drinks.

Everyone is also invited to bring bats, balls, mitts, and energy for a baseball game following the meal. Contact LaVonna Roose at 772-1001 if you have any questions.

Vacation Bible School

The Shepherd United Methodist Church will be holding its Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 25 through Friday, June 29. Each day's class starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. A closing program will be held for parents and the community on Friday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m.

This year's theme is "Take the Plunge."
